warm soft breezes......summer in montauk

it is midwinter, 2009, past spirits of the holiday time; as expected, cold windy days, occasional snow, brrrrrr

20 degrees climbs; keeping positive, thinking of warm long seashore walks, so close to home; the pit-pat-pittering of steady streams of waves frothing in foam; the warm wind and hot sun beat, realizes crashing waves onto stones;

up above, blue skies filled with fleeting seagulls catching winds and waves alike be-moan; the fresh salt air windblown against high tides creating a watery throne; over there, in deep waters, a small sailboat weaves with sails blown, the picture serene is but alone;

further away, a fishing boat anchors ahoy, catching o-boy diners dinners delights; i am walking and talking waving hellos, feet deep in froth morning all right; ebb and flow of ocean tides, comings and goings, clocking majestic might; time is on our side, good weather suggests, the luck of being alive, to enjoy such a sight; crystal clear water, bright sunny skies, birds of all kinds sing in delight; montauk in summer, very special indeed, fish, swim, surf and turf, in dreamy hi-lights; come visit, spend a day or a summers glitter and glimmer, explore hidden coves, it all rhymes; oh-oh,

reality beckons, back to the cold, another days dream, a reality to unfold, another day to roam and gleam!.................summer will delight and be here before we know it!!!!!

the montauk lighthouse....our gem by the sea!

open your eyes upon our gem by the sea, the montauk lighthouse beacons for all to see; "by the sea, by the beautiful sea", a young couple dances beyond waters edge, splashed in delight; a kind of symphony of motion, as crashing waves froth in majestic might;

the lighthouse

stark, serene, and splendid, magical misty tides behold our senses dream; another couple, still young at heart, hold hands at waters edge to kiss, winded watery air insists; amid crystal clear waters, salt sprays a thunder, a tender moment of bliss...who could resist?; our lighthouse, a history to all, creams its beam for each in midstream;

a little girl, red pail in hand, squeals in glee, looking upon a baby crab near her submerged feet; a young fellow running by the shoreline, his pet lab astride, throws a stick waters way, a bark, such a treat; the sea bound dog runs a might, splashing in dips and flips, his catch in sight; turtle cove, so close, a fishing paradise, lines thrown in wonder, awaiting a fish hooked cast in time; desires of a small harvest, lines cast in and out by waters edge, dinners delights, lucky scores a fisherman's dream sublimed; a sunny clear day, the montauk lighthouse offers it's splendor, and majesty, for all to escape and explore it's rhythms and rhymes!...........so it goes
