Richard Prince Does It Again Charming Local Author Is Selling His Second Montauk Thriller, "Montauk: The Bowman"
Like his first whodunit "Montauk: the Disappearances," author Richard Prince has done it again and has just released his second mystery thriller, "Montauk: The Bowman."
In the sequel to his spellbinding debut, Prince weaves another tale of mysterious murders that shake the peaceful village of Montauk. Once again Lieutenant Todd Miller and his sidekick Sergeant Roy Thompson find themselves in the middle of a killing spree that begins when likeable, local hunter Waldo Maidstone is found dead in his tree stand on the opening day of the hunting season in Montauk.
Grasping for clues and connections between several more victims, Prince brings to life the residents, the local police force and the top forensic team as well as local haunts such as Jack's Coffee Shop and Salivars, as he blends local characters and flavor into the everyday Montauk lifestyle. Readers will delight in finding themselves amid familiar characters and places as well as several new faces whose clear language also authenticates the author's perception of the seaside hamlet folk.
It is evident that the killer's weapon of choice is a compound bow. Another credit to Prince's amazing imagination and ironically to address David Rattiner's comment in his Radar column last week, Prince introduces the Montauk Rod and Gun Lodge, the heralded and beloved club for fishermen and hunters, and the hub of much activity in this novel which focuses upon a deadly hunter. It is fair to say that many readers might just begin to seek ways in which to promote and erect such a building.
Master Bowman and hunter, Justin Cassar whose photograph honors the novel's cover, contributed top-notch information from the hunting world. Both the author and his editor, Eugenia Bartell, credit Justin for his valuable knowledge and keen insight into the art of bowmanship as well as his remarkable command of the woods.
Once again, from the cliffs to the beaches, to the woods and to the ocean, Richard Prince has put together a mystery thriller almost beyond one's imagination. And for the second time, Prince chose Author House, the premier self-publishing house to publish his book. It is one of the finest companies in the world where the author maintains his copyrights, sets book price and royalty amounts. Prince's books are available at over 25,000 bookstores and worldwide online retailers including Amazon.com.
Locally, you may find your copy at Barnacle Books, Star Island Marina, IGA, Gone Fishing, Gin Beach Market, Paulie's Tackle Shop and many other establishments. Sure to induce more than a few sleepless nights, "Montauk: The Bowman" will have readers glued to the last page.
