Going Green
The Group for the East End and Concerned Citizens of Montauk want a greener government and are putting in efforts to make it happen. Each group has joined the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives which is an organization that sets up projects that are sustainable and good for the environment.
Edward Albee
Montauk's favorite playwright Edward Albee is working with artist, John Beech and gallery owner Peter Blum to create a unique piece of artwork in book format called "Obscure/Reveal."
The Montauk Obervatory
The Montauk Observatory, which has been gaining more and more support every year, is offering a list of its summer events at its website www.montaukobservatory.com. Events include star parties and other interesting lectures.
Katsipis at Bocca Lupo
Montauk Pioneer cover photographer, Surfing Magazine photographer and artistic photographer James Katsipis will be showcasing his photographs for sale at the Bocca Lupo Gallery in Montauk over Fourth of July Weekend. Reception is Friday July 3 from 5 to 8 p.m. You can contact the gallery by calling 631-790-4587.
