Busy Busy

Much to the delight of Montauk business owners, Memorial Day weekend in Montauk was filled to the brim with tourists looking to get a taste of summer fun. Stores reported a high amount of foot traffic and with the weather holding up all weekend long, it was one very successful weekend.

At The Library

The Montauk Library will feature "Echoes of Goya," with William Feasley on guitar. Goya fans will want to check this out because of the images that will be present. Takes place on May 30 at 7:30 p.m.

Rescue Me

Television fans will be delighted to know that Montauk was featured in an episode of the hit television series, "Rescue Me" which is about New York City firefighters. The star characters of the show Tommy and Janet headed for a summer in Montauk in an alternate reality.

Fishing Is Really Good

All reports are positive on the fishing front with each party boat reporting that they were able to catch their limits. The fishing is so good that the limits currenty in place has many questioning why they can't be raised.

Renovation Almost Complete

The renovation of East By North East, one of the best restaurants in Montauk is nearing completion. Fans of this restaurant should expect it to be opening soon so that they can enjoy its amazing view and its amazing food. -DLR
