Holistic Homes: Very Green

Builder Is Using Environmentally Friendly Forms Of Construction

New ideas for preserving the environment and thinking green are creating better ways for people to live without making harmful impacts on the earth. Recycling, of course, is one method of lowering the number of landfills in the U.S., which have been taken up to another level this summer.

Emil Braun, the Executive Director of Holistic Homes, has been building exceptional projects for thirty years, all of which are harmonious with the environment. The new corporation is member of the U.S. Green Building Council and the U.S. GBC's Long Island Chapter. When conversing with him on this subject, he said that his basic desire was to create a new and successful business located on the East End. For over twenty years, Braun has been developing new ideas for recycling steel, wood and concrete.

Braun explains that one immediate impact is that the corporation is using materials from closer locations, saving time and money, and also less likely to leave a "carbon footprint." Instead of man-made materials, constructionists use natural resources that basically do not disrupt nature. Sometimes, when demolishing a structure that is over 200 years of age, Holistic Homes constructionists will use some of the old material in what they rebuild.

As society has been misinformed about the crucial issues of global warming and other pollutant problems, the damage has been occurring without notice. The website, holistichampton.com explains that the main key to saving the environment (and our future) is energy conservation. New sources of energy that create less air and land pollution are parts of the whole initiative of using materials over and over again. Recycling does not regard just household items anymore, but also the roofs over our heads and the walls that surround us. In addition, people are now very much capable of having lavishing construction that is simultaneously sustainable, which can be demolished years later and then reused.

Holistic Homes continuously welcomes new ideas to further its exploration in biotechnology and is intended for many purposes, such as creating less landfills (most likely leaving none behind), less pollution, and people and animals living in harmony due to less contaminants. Sustainable buildings also require less maintenance and saves on energy, expenses and lasting impacts on woodland areas.

It's the integration of green methods and luxury that makes this type of construction so unique, which can also fit any architect's or designer's work. Holistic Homes has built housing, horse barns, medical centers, and schools that have become a part of developing a healthier world. In the last two years, there have been over 330,000 environment-friendly projects were built. Braun says that patrons span throughout Long Island into Brooklyn and has been making its way across the nation, even internationally into some parts of the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and Africa.

Anyone can ask for Holistic Homes' services, those who wish to contribute to the changes that will lead us to a greener world. This counts as a turning point in construction that benefits all living things. Contact them at 516-487-2200.
