Ivanka Trump
If there were one person who could look completely at ease poolside in a swimsuit, with jewels draping her neck and arms, it would be Ivanka Trump.
In fact, the freshly-minted jewelry maven wouldn't have it any other way when summering in the Hamptons. The business of sparkle and megawatt bling is the latest addition to her impressive and growing portfolio.
Her mother, Ivana, is of course famous for her love of jewelry, and Ivanka grew up borrowing pieces from the elder Trump's treasure trove of pearls, agates, onyx and diamonds. While the timelessness and glamour of the rare stones had long attracted Ivanka, it took the right business opportunity to finally translate this passion into a full-blown collection. Two years ago, the busy entrepreneur dove in head first, partnering with Dynamic Diamond Corporation, and the result is a sophisticated line of jewelry that appeals to both generations of Trumps, their jet-setting friends and everyone who follows their style lead.
When the 26-year-old real estate scion isn't jetting around the world on behalf of the Trump Organization, for which she serves in the role of vice president of real estate development and acquisitions, she is busy designing and marketing her collection in a way that only a Trump could. She wears briolette necklaces and diamond tassel earrings when appearing on television, in magazine photo shoots and at black-tie gala events sponsored by her namesake Ivanka Trump Collection. Her jewelry is sold online and at the collection's flagship Madison Avenue boutique, a 1,100-square-foot vanity mirrored, silk-lined jewel box of a space that looks every inch a chic boudoir-like closet. But instead of racks of clothes and shoes, this particular closet is overflowing with beautifully crafted pieces ranging in price from $750 to $1 million.

"Most designs begin with an idea of what the young, modern woman would most like in a piece of jewelry," she explains. Including wedding rings? While Ivanka's high-profile year-long relationship with New York Observer publisher Jared Kushner recently ended, when asked if she'd like a future husband to pick an engagement from her own collection, she says without hesitation, "Absolutely!"
Ivanka and her design team find inspiration everywhere, from the surging skyscrapers of New York City to the sweeping romanticism of old Hollywood. She personally inspects each ring, bangle, chain and bracelet for artisanship and quality before approving it. Ever the growing collector herself, she adds: "I find myself wanting a certain piece of jewelry I can't find, so we create it!" Ivanka's personal wardrobe is packed with figure-hugging business suits for the day, and flirty, long dresses for the evening. Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci and Armani are names filling her closet and, of course, she doesn't leave her Trump Park Avenue home without jewels from her own collection.

Ivanka first started coming out to the Hamptons with her family as a little girl and more recently she stays with friends. While she is often photographed in Mustique, St. Tropez and other far-flung social sandboxes, Ivanka claims to find it handy to have a sanctuary so close by when she needs to unwind from her busy workweek. When not lounging by the pool with a book, Ivanka finally takes the jewelry off in order to indulge in the Hamptons sporting life: she plays golf and tennis locally, and puts to good use the boogie-board training she had as a child here on family weekend vacations at the beach.
