Adler and his “Top Design” pal, Elle Déécor
Editor in Chief Margaret Russell, turned out for a good cause last
week to support Elle Déécor and GE Monogram’s
event at the Waterfront in New York City as part of the Design Industries
Foundation Fighting AIDS’ Dining by Design Tour. The tour
features designs by David Rockwell, Margaret Russell, Marc Blackwell,
and Hamptonites Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. Guests included all
of the above designers as well as their admirers, Jane Seymour,
Mariska Hargitay, Miss Universe Zuleyka Rivera, Fern Mallis, Leven
Rambin, Robert Verdi, B. Smith, Ted Allen, Beverly Feldman, Tracy
Stern, Vincente Wolfe, Marc Ecko, Poppy Harlow, Lady Bunny, Serena
Bass and Simon Doonan.

Contemporary artists Jeff Koons,
Romero Britto, East Hamptonite Ross Bleckner, Hunt Slonem, Kenny
Scharf and Montauk resident Peter Beard are slated to collaborate
with foster children at the 6th Annual ARTrageous Children’s
Day on Saturday, March 10, at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York
City. Proceeds from the event will benefit The Edwin Gould Services

Students and faculty from the
Gordonstoun School in Scotland — Winner of Best Shakespeare,
at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2003, and alma mater of Prince
Charles, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward — will be visiting
the Ross School on March 19 to perform Macbeth: That Old Black Magic.
Directed by Gordonstoun Drama Director Nigel Williams, the play
will feature Southampton’s own Katie Brinton, a former Ross
student, now studying at Gordonstoun, as Master of Ceremonies. Gerard
Doyle, Ross School’s Theater Director, and Adam Judd, Department
Chair of Performing Arts, will serve as Production Coordinators.

Bridgehamptonite Christie Brinkley
did not host her daughter Alexa Ray Joel’s pre-concert dinner
at Schiller’s Liquor Bar on February 28 as planned. Instead,
she was in the hospital recouperating from emergency back surgery
to correct a herniated disk. Although Alexa Ray’s father,
Billy Joel, was on tour, her godfather, promoter Ron Delsener, stepped
in to save the day.

gala in New York City was a smash hit, boasting a guest list that
included all the Hamptons glitterati, such as Sag Harbor’s
Lauren Bacall, director Eli Wallach, Jeffrey Lyons, Stanley J. and
Barbara Arkin, Darren Bagert, Jerry Cohen, Michael Feinstein, Joanne
Filipo, Stephen Fleming, Peter Hallock, Jane Holden, BD Wong and
Robert Zimmerman.

founder Bill Liederman, recently opened Burgers & Cupcakes,
in Manhattan, with a party full of Hamptonites that included ex-Knicks
superstar Earl Monroe.

Actress Glenn Close was seen
walking down the frozen bayside of Center Moriches last week while
filming the pilot of a new series for Sony Pictures Television.
Ted Danson was also acting in the pilot, which may air on the FX
cable network next year.

and Dr. Julie Ratner hosted a book signing for Kerry Max Cook, one
of the longest-tenured death-row prisoners ever to be set free.
Texas attorney Paul Nugent, Jim McCloskey of Centurion Ministries,
and Hamptonites Fisher Steven, Bob Balaban, Tony Vargas, Susan Israelson,
Alessandra DiBlasio, Jeff and Judy Prussin, Patti Kenner, Edward

Dylan McDermott present the Woman of the Year Award to playwright
Eve Ensler. Kathy will also be receiving an award, as will designer

Sag Harbor resident and CEO
of B. Smith Enterprises, Dan Gasby, was featured in the Mercedes
Benz commercial “Every owner has a story.” The ad ran
three times on Super Bowl Sunday and was the final ad to air before
the start of the Oscars. Dan’s wife, B. Smith, is also featured
in a similar national commercial, also for Mercedes Benz.
