Dear Mr. Rattiner,
Motor sports have grown in popularity
across the nation in recent years. Millions of people participate
and watch motor sports each week. Go-Karting in particular is extremely
popular in the United States and in other countries.
To meet this growing demand we are
seeking to build a state-of-the-art go-kart facility in Calverton,
New York. The facility will be called F1 Long Island and it will
be modeled after two similar and highly successful facilities located
near Boston. Our proposed facility will provide a much-needed family
entertainment venue on the East End of Long Island.
Over the past year our team has been
going through the application process to gain approval. The twelve
acres we have selected for this project in Calverton are in a recreational
and industrial zoned area and go-karting is an approved use. We
have been meeting with governmental leaders, citizens groups, business
leaders and go-kart enthusiasts to educate them about the project
and its many benefits. We have received a warm reception and we
look forward to hearing from members of the community at the public
hearing with the Town of Riverhead on January 18.
The property we are seeking to develop
is currently an eyesore and dumping ground, we will transform it
into a clean, safe and environmentally friendly facility.
F1 Long Island will have many positive
economic benefits to the community including generating millions
of dollars in tax revenue and local economic activity. This world
class destination in the Town of Riverhead will create jobs and
bring tourists and corporate executives from around the world to
the region all year round.
Sincerely.

REMEMBER THE GOOD OLD DAYS
Dear Dan,
I’m looking to get in touch
with Charlie Bosselman. He and I were singing partners for many
years in college. I haven’t seen or heard from him in years
and was thinking of him and decided to Google him.
So here I am.
If you have any way of contacting
him please let him know that Deirdre is thinking of him and wanted
him to know that I was glad to see his name. gatordlk@aol.com if
he wants to contact me.
Thanks for listening.

DON’T FLY AWAY
Dear Dan,
I used to live in Illinois, now in
Queens, New York and geese had been an integral part of our life
in the Midwest.
I was really impressed by the concept
of displaying PEPSI through their flying pattern.
I am interested in knowing more about
the company and their advertising. Google did not yield any results.
Can you please share with me their contact information?
Keep up the good job!

GIVE A HOOT
Dear Dan,
I live I Remsenburg and my husband
and I enjoy walking on South Country Road, east over the Speonk
River Bridge. However, people leave small bags of garbage in white
grocery bags along the road. We have seen as many as three at a
time. Can this be stopped? Writing the Remsenburg Association did
not get us any response. Do other communities have this problem?
Thanks for listening.
