Shop ‘til You Drop...

With Maria Tennariello
The winter is just about half over
and the weather until now has been great. No snow, no complaints……
Let’s look for some sales and new merchandise just in time
for Valentine’s Day……
At Aunt Suzie’s on Hampton
Road in Southampton, there is a “winter sale” with 30-60%
off children’s clothing and accessories. There is so much
to choose from for those cute kiddies on your gift list.
In Southampton Village on Main Street,
at Crescendo Designs, look for some new gadgets for gift giving
this Valentine’s Day……You will find iPod’s,
Bose speakers, Grado, Sennheiser, Tivoli, Griffin and more. The
showroom also specializes in home theatre, flat screen TVs, multi-room
audio home automation, design, installation and service. Log onto
their website at www.crescendodesigns.com
for more information.
In the Bridgehampton Commons, at
Banana Republic and just in time for the chilly weather, there is
a “huge blowout sale” in progress on clothing and accessories.
Now is the time to stock up and save!
Williams-Sonoma at the Bridgehampton
Commons is having their “final winter sale” as we speak.
You can shop ‘til you drop with up to 75% off select items
and maybe buy two of everything! I picked up the ‘food chopper’
for only $29……Love it! This store is a great source
for everything you need in your kitchen and home.
At Talbot’s, also in the Bridgehampton
Commons, look for new and top gift ideas for Valentine’s Day.
From your heart to thiers, there is a great heart-shaped slide pendant
on an 18-inch necklace, or a jingly charm bracelet or drop earrings
for $35 each. There are romantic ruffled blouses for $78, comfy
peep-toe flats in chili red for $88, classic boot-cut jeans in stretch
denim for $58, quilted hobo bags in nautical blue or deep red for
$78, braided handle hobo in honey or butter tumbled leather for
$110, or a bold clasp bag with etched embroidery for $88, just to
name a few. Or, treat her with a shopping spree. If she loves to
shop but is hard to shop for, a Talbot’s gift card is the
perfect solution. You can add a personal touch by packaging it with
a Valentine’s tee for $38, a conversational lace handbag for
$58, or toe-pleasing penny loafers for $78.
Roberta Freymann on Newtown Lane
in East Hampton, is winding down with “the winter sale,”
saving you 50% off the winter merchandise. There is a plus with
the warehouse specials that are being sold at outstanding prices.
The shop is ready to go and is willing to help you with your purchases
for yourself as well as gift giving for Valentine’s Day. Get
going, the sale is on until the end of January.
There is a “store-wide sale”
at Rodgers Larkin fine home furnishings, located at 66 Newtown Lane
in East Hampton. Sale shoppers will find significant savings of
40-50% off most items. Specializing in fine furniture, reproductions,
lighting, antiques, elegant accessories and antique rugs, I am sure
something will catch your fancy. The store schedule is Thursday
through Monday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon until
5 p.m. Call 631-329-6703 for information.
If you’re in the market to
spruce up your home for 2007, you can’t afford to miss this
year’s “annual home sale” at Headley Studio, located
on Madison Street in Sag Harbor. You’ll find teak dining chairs,
black stained teak end tables, whitewashed teak tables, cabinets
bureaus, chests, Swedish Farmhouse reproduction cabinets and more.
While they last, they are all at half price. Furniture that was
$700 is now $350 and items that were $1500 are now an incredible
$750. Plus, you find a great selection of accent pieces including
lacquer trays and decorative plates – all at unheard of sales
prices. Get going while the best selections are still in place.
Open Thursday through Monday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
In Montauk: At Purl By The Sea at
34 South Erie Avenue in Montauk, a brand new shipment of needlepoint
has just arrived. Look for a wide selection of yarns for all your
cold winter night projects. Gift baskets and gift certificates are
also available. If you bring in the ad from Dan’s Papers,
you will get 10% off your purchases.
