BUS TRIP- NFPOC will sponsor a bus
trip to Washington, D.C., to support the United for Peace and Justice
march protesting the continuing war in Iraq. The bus will leave
from the municipal parking lot behind Green Earth Grocery in Riverhead
at 5:15 a.m., returning around midnight. Tickets are available at
Green Earth Grocery on East Main Street or by calling Gwynn at 631-298-4912
or Tom at 369-0360. Round-trip tickets are $40 and $20 for students.
WINTER-HOE-DOWN- 6 p.m. The Oysterponds
Historical Society will host a Winter-Hoe-Down at Poquatuck Hall
in Orient. Contra dancing led by Chart Guthrie, live music by Dunegrass
and meal by BBQ Bill’s. Tickets: $40, includes beer, wine

LEARN TO MAKE YOUR OWN ARTIST WEBSITE-
The East End Arts Council is offering a one-day workshop on how
to create an artist website. Led by Professor Faye Lourenso, an
expert at teaching people how to take, upload and optimize photos
or scans of their art, the workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to
5 p.m. at the Suffolk County Community College’s Orient Building,
room 205.The cost is $25 for EEAC members and $50 for non-members.
Attendees should bring a CD of shots taken on a digital camera and
a blank CD on which to save your work. The workshop will be limited

The Lyceum Gallery located on the Eastern Campus of Suffolk Community
College in Riverhead is presenting an art exhibit by faculty of
all disciplines teaching at the school. There will be oil paintings,
photographs, quilts, clay, jewelry and other works of art. Artist
