CANDLELIGHT BALL- Enjoy a Candlelight Ball at The Inn at East Wind in Wading River to support the Peconic Bay Medical Center. This year, the Great East End Car Dealers have been chosen as the honorees. This year’s gala features a 60s rock ‘n roll theme, casino, dancing, sumptuous food, and of course a silent auction. BUS TRIP- NFPOC will sponsor a bus trip to Washington, D.C., to support the United for Peace and Justice march protesting the continuing war in Iraq. The bus will leave from the municipal parking lot behind Green Earth Grocery in Riverhead at 5:15 a.m., returning around midnight. LEARN TO MAKE YOUR OWN ARTIST WEBSITE- The East End Arts Council is offering a one-day workshop on how to create an artist website. Led by Professor Faye Lourenso, an expert at teaching people how to take, upload and optimize photos or scans of their art, the workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Suffolk County Community College’s Orient Building, room 205.The cost is $25 for EEAC members and $50 for non-members. Attendees should bring a CD of shots taken on a digital camera and a blank CD on which to save your work. The workshop will be limited to 20 people.
