With the exception of some rainy days, the weather has been great and people are shopping in all the villages. Most of the shops are gearing toward Valentine’s Day gift giving, so let’s do some shopping!

It’s that time of year again! Shock, located at 99 Main Street in Westhampton Beach, is having their “annual winter super sale” with 20-50% off all the winter merchandise. Look for great deals and gift ideas on cashmeres, velvets, shoes and sterling silver jewelry. Everything is on sale including leggings, tanks, yoga tanks and tee’s that are specially priced at $10, $20 and $30. And... don’t forget about Shock Kids, located at 115 Main Street in Westhampton Beach, the sale is going on there as well. The most expensive collection of high school musical goodies are included. Both shops are open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Hildreth’s on Main Street in Southampton, is always introducing something fresh and new for their shoppers. Look for Polish Pottery stoneware dinnerware sets made of high quality stoneware. Boleslawiec Polish pottery is now available as well. Also new, a wide variety of luxurious soaps from Italy that are beautifully sculpted and scented in Lily of the Valley, Lavender, Tuberose and Gardenia. They are all reasonably priced just in time for Valentine’s Day gift giving. And……do not pass up the “annual winter clearance sale” that can save you up to 65% off. Gym Source on Windmill Lane in Southampton has it going on with their “first sale of the year,” saving you plenty on the latest fitness equipment. The floor models are ready to boogie out of the store. This is the perfect time of the year to start getting in shape – after all the holiday celebrations.

At Bravura Art & Objects located at 22 Nugent Street in Southampton, the “winter sale” is still in progress until January 22. You will save from 10-50% off all inventory such as fine art, decorative objects, jewelry, Murano glass (my favorite), modern ceramics, textiles, furniture and unique gifts for that unique person on your list. The Bravura boys are always happy to help you with their “Bravura style,” so choose something for both your home and giftware.

Bernadette O’Brien Fabrics & Interiors located at 260 Hampton Road in Southampton, is having a “winter sale” with 50% off children’s apparel and all fine fabrics. The shop is open Friday through Monday for the winter season.

Also on North Sea Road in Southampton, Carpet One Of The Hamptons, is having a “flooring sale” with 10-20% off all flooring and 20% off all Karastan wool carpeting. Look for name brands including Shaw, Beaulieu and Mohawk, laminates, hardwood, ceramic and Vinyland linoleum.
For a fresh new look for your home, stop in at Ethan Allen on Montauk Highway in Watermill, for thier “floor sample” sale on furniture, furnishings and accessories. Now is the time to shop in this store for sure.

In Water Mill, at the Piano Barn, there is a “piano clearance winter sale” in progress on their many mint condition pianos. Just think, you can pick up (not really) a Steinway 52-inch upright mahogany and save over $2,000 with this sale!

English Country Antiques on North Sea Road in Southampton and located at Snake Hollow Road in Bridgehampton, is having their “storewide sale.” The Southampton location is offering 50% off upholstery floor samples. Before you know it, spring will be here and the guests will be arriving, so this is a good time to spruce up your home with these prices.

The “winter sale” at the Down Factory Store at the Elegant John on Montauk Highway, East Hampton is doing another sale and will happily help you pick and choose something nice for that very special soul mate in your life for Valentine’s Day.
