Take a Chill Pill by S. Galardi
I am not a technophile. I don't' even have an iPod. But I do like to hear good music.
Recently, I came across a product called The Chill Pill Mobile Speakers by Small Dog. It looks like a long, black plastic capsule. But it's very cool. The "pill" is really two little half-pill speakers that are held together magnetically. You easily pop them apart, and then extend the rounded side to provide more sound. Wires are hidden inside the pill. Just pull a tab and voila! One retractable USB cable connects the two speakers, another has a mini-headphone jack to plug into your computer or iPod.
I tried them on my computer here at Dan's and we all agreed the sound was darn good for a little speaker. These are great for when you want to free yourself from headphones.
No need for a plug: They charge by connecting the mini-USB cable to your computer or an external USB power source. No mini-USB port? No worry, it comes with an adapter.
The Pill sells for about $39, depending where you go. A nice gadget for big music fans with small budgets and spaces.
