Santa is on his way to the Hamptons. I haven’t done much holiday shopping myself because of my knee injury, but I know exactly what’s going on at all the shops and stores. Let’s do some holiday shopping!

Pine Cone and Respectable Collectibles are now under one roof, at 1 Glovers Lane in Westhampton Beach. At Pine Cone, Judy has a Holiday Sale in progress on decorative home accessories from companies that include Maitland Smith, Bradburn Gallery, Limoges, Haleyon Days and more, at 20% to 50% off. Respectable Collectibles is filled with antiques, vintage Christmas decorations, handcrafted ornaments and lots of holiday candles all wrapped, ribboned and ready to go.

At Messina Jewelry on Main Street in Westhampton Beach (631-288-2967), you will be happy to find a 50% off Holiday Sale from December 15 through 17…… Get gift shopping…… It’s only a three-day sale, so don’t miss it!

Judith Anne’s Toy Shop on Jobs Lane in Southampton is featuring a Storewide Holiday Sale, with 20% to 70% off of all merchandise. Everyone loves a sale, so get going……

H. Groom on Main Street in Southampton is one of the ultimate emporiums for gifts and holiday entertainment, with a selected assortment of high-end accessories for the home. Owner Barbara Warner’s suggestions include haute bath products from Florence, hammered Argentinean silver champagne coolers, a full line of La Loop’s innovative necklaces, that double as eyeglass holders, and hand-blown, glass vodka chillers that make nice gifts.

For something really special, let us not forget to shop for our pets. Local artist Kimberly McSparran, Pet Portraits & Botanicals, Enid Hatton and Helen LaValle are showcasing their memorable holiday gifts at Ann Madonia Antiques on Jobs Lane in Southampton through Christmas. Gift portraits of your favorite person, place or pet in oil or watercolor, or sculptures in bronze, marble or plaster make wonderful holiday gifts for those special people in your life. Kimberly is known for her famous “Hamptons Golf Club” porcelain giftware and prints, a perfect way to say “happy holidays” to your favorite golfer. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the artwork will be donated to The American Cancer Society.

There is a special Annual Warehouse Holiday Sale at Bulgar USA at Five Hardscrabble Court in East Hampton (631-907-1784). You will find a treasure trove of gifts from the only manufacturers of traditional and contemporary pottery that is beautiful and food safe. Bulgar’s casseroles, or ‘gyuvechs’ (as they are called in Bulgaria), go from oven to table…… And they make perfect gifts during this chilly time of year. In the mix is pottery for chili, tangines, veggie casseroles, and rice and bean dishes that will yield perfectly cooked meals. The “treasures from a hidden culture” are hand-made, hand painted, and fired twice for durability. The warehouse is open to the public every Saturday until Christmas. Fancy can put together a Kiehl’s gift basket for anyone on your gift list, no matter what your age or budget. Crabtree & Evelyn have beautifully packaged gift sets and novelty soaps that are perfect for teacher gifts and stocking stuffers.

At The Gallery on Main Street in Sag Harbor (725-7707), you will find an eclectic assortment of designer jewelry made of 18 or 22-carat vermeil, just in time for those special gifts. There are cuffs by Urmano, in sterling and burnished metal, Peacock and Swan brooches made of freshwater pearls, amethysts and other gems by Rachelle Stark and Gem King, who use silver, mother of pearl, cameos and other vintage favorites in their designs.

The Whalebone General Store on Noyac Road in Sag Harbor is overflowing with holiday goodies. Their beautiful Poinsettias from a great local grower are flying out the door. This year, Linda and her staff have also put together gift baskets in all sizes and prices, some with treats and chocolates, others with Christmas candles, scents and Vita Bath goodies. Children’s and custom baskets are available until December 16. There are live wreaths and small swags with the fragrance of fresh pine, along with a nice collection of candles, gifts, small ornaments and, of course, their delicious chocolates and free gift wrapping.
