If what you are wishing for this holiday season
is an estate in the Hamptons, East End realtors are ready and
waiting to make your dreams come true. Whether it is an oceanfront
mansion, a secluded hideaway or simply a small country cottage,
you can find it here. There is a bevy of beauties available to
peruse online, where estates, as well as tiny beach cottages,
can be viewed by surfing hreo.com, A.K.A. Hamptons Real Estate.com.
From West Hampton to Montauk, Aquebogue to Orient, there literally
are thousands of East End properties for sale spanning both the
North and South Forks.
In Bridgehampton and Sagaponack, where the two
highest-priced listings on the East End are located, and one’s
pocketbook must be able to withstand a loss of upwards of $60
million, there is always the 60-acre Three Ponds Farm, or a newly-listed,
15-acre oceanfront compound, for the taking. Three Ponds Farm
is a lavish estate that includes not only the property’s
three ponds, stocked with fish, but its own private, 18-hole golf
course. There are almost too many amenities on this expansive
estate to mention them all. It is set in the heart of Bridgehampton’s
rolling farmland and boasts one of the more sizeable parcels in
the area on the market today, as well as the mansion itself, a
guest cottage, silo, infinity pool, personal pro shop, fourteen
formal gardens and more than one barn. In Sagaponack, for $65
million, there is an unbelievable 15-acre property that offers
500 feet of oceanfront, 500 feet of pond-front and a 5,000-square-foot
residence with staff quarters, an ocean side pool and private
guesthouse, situated on its own four-acre parcel. A property in
Sagaponack with this kind of acreage on the ocean is almost unheard
of in today’s market, where oceanfront property has turned
to absolute gold – hence the price tag. The property is
situated a quarter-mile from the nearest public beach, making
it the ultimate in privacy. Both of these listings represent the
upper echelon of East End real estate, and both are listed with
the Corcoran Group’s East Hampton and Bridgehampton offices.
Dropping down just a notch in price, $45 million
can buy you piece of North Haven with 250 feet of deep-water dockage
overlooking Sag Harbor. This 7,500-square-foot, English country
mansion on 1.5 acres has seven bedrooms and eleven baths. It has
a 20’ x 50’ pool, a Jacuzzi and eight fireplaces.
It is listed with Prudential Douglas Elliman in Sag Harbor. And
for $40 million, you can still buy Andy Warhol’s old place
on the bluffs of the Moorlands in Montauk. Eothen, as it is more
formally called, is listed with multiple area realtors. At $35
million, you can have Bumble Bee Manor’s 3.25 waterfront
acres on Shelter Island. The sixteen-room mansion, which overlooks
the water and includes a guesthouse, St. Barth’s-style pool
and pool house, is the highest-priced piece of residential real
estate on the tiny island. It is listed with Brown Harris Stevens
of Bridgehampton. Also on Shelter Island is a marina for $16 million,
and a famous inn, The Ram’s Head, for $10.5 million.
For those who prefer the quiet seclusion of
the North Fork, there is a 7,200-square-foot estate on Nassau
Point near the bay for $8,250,000. There is a billiard room, wine
cellar, media room and two staircases. It is listed with Prudential
Douglas Elliman in Southold.
Also in Southold, one can purchase a vintage,
three-bedroom classic home with pond views for $995,000. The three-acre
property and 3,200-square-foot home is near the Long Island Sound
and has cobblestone fireplaces in both the living room and formal
dining room. It is listed with the Corcoran Group’s Cutchogue
office.
One can still find a quaint country cottage
for under a million south of the highway in Quogue. Here, one
can walk to the village or the beach from a cute, two-bedroom
one-bath cottage. This little 1,000-square-foot gem is set on
just under an acre and can be picked up for $995,000. It is listed
with Phillips Beach Realty. So, if the multi-million dollar listings
are too rich for your holiday dreams, don’t lose heart,
there are still a few mini dream-homes to be found here on the
East End.
