"The Marney Bag" @Twist, S.H.
|
In Southampton on Jobs Lane at one of my favorites, Twist, a ladies and girls contemporary clothing store, is having their second annual shopping event on Saturday, December 1 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. There will be storewide shopping incentives, refreshments and complimentary gift-wrapping. At Twist you will be sure to find the best assortment from all the newest fashion brands in knit tops, sweaters, jeans, activewear, jewelry and much more. Don't forget Twist features the famous Marney Bags by Marney Zaslav, an up and coming designer with great flair. They are available in many colors, shapes and sizes. The shelves are stocked and ready to go for the holiday gift-giving season. Giving a gift with a Twist will make anyone smile this holiday season.
Nearby at Anya's Boutique at 28 Jobs Lane in Southampton, there will be a holiday kick-off with a huge Pre-Black Friday Thanksgiving Blowout Sale, and everything in the store will be selling from 20 to 50% off. Look for great deals on fall clothing, hats, handbags, riding boots (featured in InStyle magazine), shoes, jewelry and accessories. Also check out the hot selection of cashmere sweater coats that are featured in the December issue of Lucky magazine. There is also a nice assortment of handbags in animal prints and metallics that you will really get excited about. The sale started on November 19, so get going. Anya's boutique is open seven days a week during the holiday season.
Ooops! I need to make a correction...in last weeks shopping column I wrote about The Elegant Setting, saying it was on Jobs Lane, but it's on Main Street in Southampton. Don't pass this shop up, it is filled to the rafters with wonderful holiday merchandise. And say hi to Debbie, she will be more than happy to assist you.
Here it is again! Parrish Presents, the Parrish Art Museum's 15th annual fundraiser on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, November 23, 24 and 25, at the museum in Southampton Village benefiting the museum and its programs. The bazaar and silent auction will feature a vast marketplace filled with antiques, books, prints, jewelry, vintage clothing and more. It is a holiday gift bazaar with specialty merchants along with a silent auction of luxury items. This is a shopper's paradise with great holiday gift-giving merchandise with some local merchants that include Antique Rug Galleria, Berkeley & Bond, Casa Casa, Lynch's Garden Center, Victoria's Mother, Walker Antiques, too many others for me to mention. For those interested in bargain hunting, the marketplace is filled with new and gently used merchandise from designer handbags to china, crystal and priceless antiques.
Do you want to know what is hot this upcoming holiday season at Eileen Fisher on Newtown Lane in East Hampton? Get cozy in cashmere...Eileen Fisher's high-quality-high-collared sweater-knit robe folds softly around you offering the luxurious embrace of fine gauge cashmere. Pricey at $478, but worth every dollar, the fine gauge cashmere robe is available in bone and branch, would make a special person on your gift list feel like a Queen for sure!
The artists of Surface Library Gallery & Atelier, both at 834 Springs Fireplace Road in East Hampton, are giving back during the gift giving season by donating 10% off all sales during the Gift of Art show to benefit the Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation over Thanksgiving weekend, November 24 and 25. Artful gifts created by resident artists Bob Bachler and James Kennedy, along with an eclectic selection of original design and art objects from invited artists, have been chosen especially for the fundraising benefit. Gift items include unique works in jewelry, ceramics, painting, wood and textiles. Guest artists include Eunice Golden, T. Hewitt, Jamie Lerner, Christa Maiwald, John Rais, Bianca Ricardo, James Seffens, Lisa Weston and others.
ON THE NORTH FORK: Tanger Outlet Center in Riverhead is hosting its 2nd annual Midnight Madness event, which will kick off at the very top of Black Friday at midnight, when all the stores will be open for business and remain open through the early morning hours and until 10 p.m. on Friday night. The first 100 shoppers to visit the Tanger Customer Service Center at midnight will receive a free $10 gift card, and the first 200 shoppers will receive a free plush toy. I'm there!
