THE MUSIC MAN- At 8 p.m. check out Meredith Willson's 'The Music Man' presented by Riverhead Faculty and Community Theater to fund scholarships for local art students and promote arts in local communities. Production features Lauren Sisson as Marian the librarian and Thomas LaMothe as Professor Harold Hill; directed by Jan McKenna with musical director Marguerite Volonts. ART SHOW- 92.9 & 96.9 'EHM will exhibit an exclusive collection of artwork created by or featuring some of rock 'n roll's most legendary musicians. Every piece is available for purchase, giving fans the opportunity to own a unique work of art showcasing the visual side of their favorite musician's artistry. FACING WAR- 'Facing War' a week-long event at Riverhead First Baptist Church begins today. A day of films includes 'Why We Fight' (11 a.m.), 'Iraq in Fragments' (1 p.m.), 'Military Myths' (3 p.m.) and 'All That I Can Be: Military Recruitment From a Youth Perspective' (4 p.m.). Program features exhibit 'Honor the Fallen Memorial' photographs and biographies of soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Presented as a staged reading, based on interviews and group discussions, the play explores discrimination and violence toward gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender life. HELPING THE NEEDY- Throughout November, customers and friends of Mattituck's Old Mill Inn restaurant will receive a complimentary appetizer when they drop off a canned good at the restaurant.
