The Third Annual Long Island Restaurant Week will launch Sunday, November 2 through Sunday, November 9. During this eight-day promotion, participating restaurants in Nassau and Suffolk Counties will offer a three-course prix fixe dinner for $24.95 all night, except Saturday, when it will be offered only until 7 p.m. Each restaurant will offer its own unique menu. So far, 230 restaurants have signed on with new establishments signing up daily. The Jamesport Manor, in celebration of Halloween, will dress the restaurant accordingly the weekend of October 31. They will continue to serve their daily lunch, Sunday brunch three-course prix fixe, as well as their fall dinner prix fixe Sunday - Thursday. Don't forget that this Halloween coincides with the book launch of "Ghosts of Long Island: 11 More Stories of the Paranormal," by Kerriann Brosky, a sequel to her first book that included the Jamesport Manor. La Fondita, in Amagansett, will be celebrating the Day of the Dead October 31, and November 1 and 2 with a special menu. The menu is as follows: pollo en mole rojo (chicken in mole rojo); tamale de puerco (pork tamale); atole de pina (a traditional warm beverage made with corn meal and pineapple); and arroz con leche (rice pudding). Indian Wells Tavern, in Amagansett, will be celebrating Halloween on Friday, October 31, starting at 10 p.m. There will be complimentary food, prizes and drink specials. There is no cover charge. Indian Wells Tavern is open Tuesday - Sunday, closed on Monday. Serving breakfast from 8 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday; Lunch 11:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.; and dinner from 5 p.m. - 10 p.m. Sunday - Thursday and 5 p.m. - 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
