PARANORMAL EXPERIENCE- At 6:30 p.m.: The Paranormal Adventurers for age 12 and up features real-life ghost hunters Joseph Flammer and Diane Hill, at Floyd Memorial Library, Greenport. Hear about their adventures investigating a haunted mansion and haunted Long Island graveyards with Jason, Grant and Steve of T.A.B.S. from the hit Sci Fi show "Ghost Hunters." See photos and videos. AUTUMN BENEFIT- 6:30 p.m. is the annual Autumn Benefit Dinner/Dance hosted by Southold West Branch of Eastern Long Island Hospital at Soundview Restaurant, Greenport. AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH SHOWING- 6:30-7:45 p.m. view a presentation of 'An Inconvenient Truth' slide show, presentation and discussion with "climate messenger" Sara Gordon, trainee of Al Gore and The Climate Project; hosted by Peconic Land Trust, at Mattituck Library. Free. 631-283-3195.

AUCTION BENEFIT- 5:30 p.m. Chinese auction to benefit Riverhead cheerleading programs at Riverhead High School cafeteria features over 200 prizes (regular, special and super size), 50/50 raffle, lottery tree, food and refreshments. AUTHOR SPEAKS- "From Pack Peddler to International Banker: The Life and Times of Joseph Seligman," Dr. Kenneth Libo, historian and author of works on Jewish history, speaks after services which begin at 9:00 a.m. Lunch follows Dr. Libo's remarks. This program, which is free and open to the public, is made possible through the support of the New York Council for the Humanities' Speakers in the Humanities Series. ANNUAL ROAST BEEF DINNER- 5-6:30 p.m. is an annual roast beef dinner hosted by Riverhead Methodist Church; take-out begins 4:30 p.m. Meal includes roast beef and gravy, mashed potatoes, vegetables, rolls and butter, hot and cold beverages and dessert. Viewing begins 6 p.m. Items include weekend getaways, handmade Amish quilts and goods and services from local businesses. ONGOING EVENTS

CHILDRENS ART PROJECT-The Children's Art Project continues. Hector deCordova, an artist and teacher has brought children of diverse backgrounds, ages 8 to 12, together for a painting workshop.
