The shops are gearing toward fall/winter merchandise and most new inventory has arrived. There is plenty to choose from, and guess what? You can start your holiday shopping while the shelves are full. The early bird always catches the worm. Let's do some shopping!

At the Hampton Shoe Vixen on Montauk Highway (Main Street) in East Quogue, get going to catch their annual summer shoe sale with 50% off. The merchandise is literally running out the door!

For starters, just a reminder that Little Lucy's Canine Couture is celebrating Halloween with her annual pet parade and benefit party on Saturday, October 27 at her store on Jobs Lane in Southampton. The shop is filled with new wool and fleece wrap coats, sweaters and Halloween costumes for the occasion. Famous pet photographer Ellen Doremus will also be on hand taking photographs of your pets. I love the "Anywhere tables" that are available in three colors and are very affordable at $99. The focus is on storage, and there are plenty of storage pieces that will fit everyone's pocketbook, not to mention the everyday accessories that you cant leave the store without.

Donovan Design's annual one-of-a-kind sample designer lamp sale is underway starting Saturday and Sunday, October 20 and 21, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Located at 127 Little Fresh Pond Road, Southampton get going this is a first time ever annual sale!

Bridgehampton's Glorioso's at 2405 Main Street is all ready to go for the Hamptons Film Festival. New merchandise has just arrived that will knock your socks off. Look for Ladies trendy and funky fashions, accessories and jewelry.

Now I know what to get my grandson Michael for his dorm room so he will be warm and cozy all winter!
