Thyme & Again in Southampton, an intimate take-away food shop, as well as a full-service catering firm, will offer gourmet packages at the 32nd Annual Hampton Classic Horse Show. They will be offered until Sunday, September 2 and will be available in the Water Mill Party Rental booth. Packages will include Thyme & Again's famous homemade health scones, granola and chocolate chip cookies. Cost of the scones and cookies is $5.95 per bag and the granola will be $7.95 per bag. Wildthyme Restaurant and Bar in Southampton announces that the reggae band, Project Vibe, will continue to perform Friday, August 31 from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. While jammin' to the island beats, guests may enjoy $4 Corona and Red Stripe bottles, $6 mixed drinks at the bar and appetizers such as cornmeal dusted fried calamari chips with plum tomato sauce, chipotle aioli, cucumber tzatziki, spicy yellowfin tuna tartare, and lobster salad There is no fee for this event! Southampton Publick House will offer the traditional Sunday brunch on Labor Day Weekend on Sunday, September 2nd from noon to 3 p.m. Cost of the brunch is $12 per person and includes a complimentary mimosa, bloody Mary or 12 oz. brew. The regular lunch menu is also available. The menu is as follows: traditional eggs Benedict; quiche with mesclun greens; Belgian waffles with fresh fruit; three-egg omelet of the day; French toast with breakfast sausage; corned beef hash and eggs any style; and fresh fruit with vanilla yogurt and granola. Legends Restaurant in New Suffolk will host live oldies music featuring Prentiss McNeill with Fred Miner & Sahara in the pub from 8 p.m. to midnight on Saturday, September 1st. McNeill is the former lead singer of The Drifters. The pub menu will be available and includes: grilled marinated pork chops; skillet shrimp; stone baked pizza with thin crust and plain cheese; and sesame-crusted yellowfin tuna wrap. While on the North Fork check out Jedediah's at the Jedediah Hawkins Inn in Jamesport. Rated "excellent" by The New York Times and awarded "Three Stars" by chefs Tom Schaudel and Michael Ross put together a menu highlighting local cuisine. Menu items include: blue claw crab salad; tuna tartar, crudo, or sesame seared; roasted beet salad with Catapano Farms goat cheese, fingerling potatoes, green beans and sherry vinaigrette; grilled Pineland Farms natural Angus strip steak with potato-blue cheese soufflé, asparagus and garden herb butter; and Jurgielwicz Farms duck breast with citrus compote, wild rice, duck cracklings and green and yellow beans.
