Come Down To Sunset Suite
WSHU/WSUF Public Radio Fundraiser At Paumanok Wants To See You There
If you're looking for an elegant evening of fine food and wine, mark your calendar for the annual "Sunset Suite" Dinner and Wine Benefit held at Paumanok Vineyards in Aquebogue. On September 9th, the beautiful backdrop of Paumanok Vineyards will set the stage for a special benefit to help support and raise funds for WSHU/WSUF Public Radio.
This annual benefit, sponsored by Mark J. Snyder Financial Services will include a sit-down gourmet dinner prepared by Executive Chef, Eric Rickmers of The Jamesport Manor Inn, located in Greenport. The newly renovated historic restaurant has become the new "hot spot" for dining on the North Fork these days. And the opportunity to sample this talented Chef's New American (with a Mediterranean influence) delights is a treat. Complimenting this elegant dinner even more will be the pairing of many of the finest vintages Paumanok Vineyards has to offer. While enjoying this divine evening of wine, music (classical selections of WSUF/WSHU), mingle among the many local supporters and join WSUF/WSHU ever-so-popular hosts Suzanne Bona and David Bouchier for a night to remember.
This annual bash will take place at one of the most beautiful locations on Long Island, Paumanok Vineyards. Since this highly regarded vineyard was founded in the spring of 1983 by Ursula and Charles Massoud, Paumanok Vineyards has continued to gain much notoriety in the "world of wine." This 77 acre estate only grows only the finest vinifera adding to the perfect creation of some of the finest Chardonnay, Johannisberg Riesling, Chenin Blanc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc vintages A renovated turn-of-the-century barn offers the ideal space to allow for the fermentation process of Pamaunok's delightful wines. In addition a spacious tasting room was built on top of the barrel cellar that opens to an inviting deck overlooking the pristine vineyards. Sounds like a romantic and tranquil setting for a private party, wedding, fundraiser, or for a fun and special event.
Paumanok Vineyards was named "Vineyard of the Year" at the New York Wine and Food Classic in Wading River in 2004. Among their peers in the business they have been reviewed in The New York Times, Wine Advocate, World of Fine Wine, Appellation America, and many other notable publications. It seems like its will always be a family tradition to continue the "art of winemaking" for the Massoud's. There love for creating wine is comes naturally and the proof is in the wine.
Don't miss the opportunity to enjoy an evening of heavenly delights to support WSHU/WSUF Public Radio. Tickets are $100 each and available at www.wshu.org or by calling 800-937-6045.
