What a busy weekend this was. I took Tino, (my schnauzer) to Grooming by Donna in Bridgehampton for his do, and got caught in the middle of a major East End storm. Then had to hurry and wonder how I was getting to the WHB Theater for an evening with Donna Summer. That was indeed the highlight of my weekend, for sure! But that's another column. Let's do some shopping!

Mark your calendar for Friday and Saturday, August 8 and 9, at Jackie Rogers, located at 50 Jobs Lane in Southampton. On the schedule is a special trunk show in Southampton and a preview of Jackie's Fall 2008 collection that will be hosted by Debbie Bancroft and Somers Farkas. The star of the show however, is Verdura Jewelry that will also be on display both days. This is a do-not-miss trunk show for sure!

Speaking of buzz, surveys show that it is in our genes to love our jeans - but hate shopping for them! Next to swimsuit shopping, trying on jeans is the most detestable. How about stopping by Style Paris, 28 Jobs Lane in Southampton for a Queen of Cashmere Trunk Show on Monday, Tuesday, August 4 and 5. There are styles for women, men and children and look for the original monogram sweater, you will absolutely love it!

If you missed the Designer Trunk Show Rose Jewelers on Main Street in Southampton, you missed one of the best yet! Rose Jewelers brought together three great designers for an all day special trunk show event that included Mauri Piopo, Hearts on Fire, and Gerge. Stay tuned; there will be more trunk shows and events at Rose Jewelers, and perhaps an encore performance.

At The Furniture Garden located at 337 Montauk Highway in Water Mill, catch a rising star at the best kept secret in the Hamptons. You may have missed the trunk show last weekend at Lable, 78 Main Street, Sag Harbor, (under Java Nation) but the good news is, it went so well that Edgewood Goodies new line of organically dyed 100% Pima cotton tees are still available at the store.
