The August 18 "SNEAKERS del ARTE" event, hosted by Ellen & Chuck Scarborough, at their Southampton home, will honor the memory of Chuck's sister, Cynthia Scarborough. Betsey Johnson will serve as honorary chair, along with Christine Wasserstein & Dan Rattiner. Some of the artists & celebrities included in the designer sneaker auction, featured at this cocktail party event are Donna Karan, Itzhak Perlman, Leroy Neiman, Kelly Ripa, Toni Ross, Peter Buchman, Audrey Flack, Billy Joel & Robert Dash. All proceeds from this event will benefit Ellen's Run.

The Hampton Theatre Company in Quogue has announced its line-up of winter shows: "Doubt" in October, "Glengarry Glen Ross" in January, "The Oldest Living Graduate" from March to April, and "The Moon Over Buffalo" from May to June. To see yourself on stage, head to the "Doubt" audition on Sunday, August 19, from 2 to 4 p.m., or Monday, August 20, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Quogue Community Hall on Jessup Avenue in Quogue.

East Hampton resident Judith Peck and her family are hosting a special clinic, exhibition and reception at their home with Q&A this Saturday afternoon, July 28, given by the junior players from the Israel Tennis Centers. The Centers are open to all Israeli children -- Arab, Jewish, Druse, etc. -- for tennis training from ages 5 to 18, including at-risk and disabled children. On Friday, August 3, the Ferregut Gallery and the Southampton Inn will host 3-D: Dan, Dinner, and Dancing! The informal talk with Mr. Rattiner and four-star poolside BBQ is being held to honor Dan, whose pen and ink drawings are on display at the Southampton Inn.

Hamptons fashionista and soon to be former Mrs. Russell Simmons, Kimora Lee Simmons, is debuting her own reality show on August 5 - "Kimora: Life in the Fab Lab." The show will go behind the scenes in Kimora's life as she runs her Baby Phat fashion line.

The first of senator Hillary Clinton's Hamptons fundraising benefits in the first weekend of August will be at the Southampton home of Irene and Bernard Schwartz in East Hampton. To snag a cocktail at this party, guests shell out $1,000 in support of Clinton's campaign. Carl Spielvogel and Robert F.X. Sillerman are already on the guest list.

Some of the East End's most glittering residents, Somers & Jonathan Farkas, Bonnie & Stewart Lane, Ann Liguori, Sheila Rosenblum and Jill and Bobby Zarin are inviting their friends for cocktails in honor of European artist Renee Niklan. Renee is having her first Hamptons exhibition in the Roberta von Schlossberg Gallery on 20 Jobs Lane on July 28th till August 5th.The artist is flying in for the event from her home in St. Tropez to join her New York friends for the occasion. Cocktails are on the 28th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., and a glamorous time will be had by all who see her passionate work.

An intimate clam bake was thrown by Allure magazine editor Linda Wells and her husband Charlie Thompson on Old Town Line Beach in Southampton. Richard Gere, Uma Thurman, her ex-boyfriend Andre Balazs, and Balazs' ex-wife Katie Ford were all in attendance, but no high school fights broke out.

Yoko Ono took the stage last Saturday at textile artist Jack Lenor Larsen's East Hampton estate. At Larsen's 80th birthday bash, artist Ono performed what she called an onstage "sex change," during which she changed her clothes a little bit. The enigmatic performance art was met with a round of applause.
