East Hampton's Jon Bon Jovi treated diners at the Blue Parrot restaurant to an impromptu performance last Saturday. Using a guitar from the wall, the popular rocker played "Who Says You Can't Go Home," "Free Bird" and "Dead or Alive."

There were more celebrities than fireworks in the Hamptons last weekend. Russell Simmons, Jessica Szohr, David Lee and AnnaLynne McCord partied at the Sag Harbor home of Eugene Remm and Mark Birnbaum; Alex McCord, Simon Van Kempen and Theodora Richards were spotted at Georgica; and Gerard Butler swung by the Montauk Yacht Club for a party thrown by Ben Watts.

South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford recently admitted to spending some time in the Hamptons with his mistress, Maria Belen Chapur.

Former Montauk part-timer Bernie Madoff received a maximum sentence of 150 years in prison last week for operating the biggest Ponzi scheme in history.

Rumor has it that Southampton's Vera Wang will be competing on "Dancing with the Stars." The ABC hit's ninth season premieres September 21.

"Royal Pains," the USA show about a Hamptons concierge doctor, has some local residents upset. Southampton Hospital president Bob Chaloner is reportedly unhappy that the show's fictional hospital is referred to as a "taco stand" and "the local cemetery."

Amagansett's Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick may be moving to Brooklyn. Multiple sources claim that the couple bought a nine-bedroom Park Slope Victorian townhouse from actors Jennifer Connelly and Paul Bettany.

Designer Catherine Malandrino hosted shopping and cocktails in support of the Amaryllis Farm Equine Rescue last Saturday.

Lydia Hearst and Twilight star Kellan Lutz hosted a Gatsby-themed Fourth of July soirée in Water Mill.

Supermodel Molly Sims recently helped launch the Tommy T-Studio at the Tommy Hilfiger store in East Hampton. Every Saturday between now and Labor Day weekend, the silk screening studio will offer a different T-shirt.

Governor Paterson attended a Bridgehampton pool party hosted by Russell Simmons last weekend. The governor was accompanied by two security officials and partied past midnight.

Legends Marilyn Monroe and Michael Jackson will be represented at ArtHamptons. An image of Marilyn and the cast of the "Misfits," photographed by Elliott Erwitt, will be installed at the Hackelbury Fine Art booth. Erwitt will be there on July 12, from 1 to 3 p.m. "Michael," painted by Andy Warhol, will be displayed at the Vered Gallery booth. Proceeds from the admissions to ArtHamptons International Fine Art Fair are donated to Guild Hall, Bridgehampton Historical Society and Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Church community programs.

Pallotine Father Peter Devaraj has been appointed pastor of both Queen of the Most Holy Rosary parish, Bridgehampton and St. Andrew parish, Sag Harbor. He was ordained in 1981 in India. In recent years was the associate pastor at St. Joseph parish, Babylon and St. Joseph parish, Ronkonkoma.

Celebrating the Fourth of July during the Southampton Parade, over 500 children received their favorite rubber ducks from the local Real Estate Firm of Engel & Völkers Southampton along with having their picture take with the Long Island Duck mascot.

The Hamptons lighting was perfect when New York Senator Chuck Schumer was interviewed on CBS TV's "Face The Nation" live on Sunday, July 5. It was the sun shining on a lushly green patio scene behind him at The Hedges Inn, the Long Island interview location.

Our very own Dan's columnist, executive producer and Host of News 12's "What's Hot in the Hamptons" is going prime time. For the first time ever, News 12 is premiering a half-hour special "What's Hot in the Hamptons Celebrity Hot Spots and Events" this Friday at 7 p.m. Gina Glickman delivers a great mix of exclusive, never seen before interviews with Martha Stewart, Billy Joel, Nick Cannon, Christie Brinkley, Seth Meyers and so many more. Plus, Gina shines the spotlight on several local organizations and volunteers. The special will run throughout the weekend.

The beleaguered Michael Lohan, the father of Lindsay, who's well known in the Hamptons, considers himself a boxer. He has been challenged again by ex-boxer Chris Seeger, the ace class action lawyer, to a fight. Seeger says he will donate $10,000 to a battered women's charity if Lohan agrees. Michael, some months ago, refused to fight Seeger for a Long Island charity.
