FOOD & CO. in East Hampton is one of the Hamptons' mainstay caterers since 1993, and it has new ownership by Stacie Pierce and Eric Miller. The duo's plan is to build on the existing core business of FOOD & CO., which has a strong reputation for year-round, first-class and large-scale receptions and events in the Hamptons. East Hampton Point Restaurant will now be open for lunch Friday and Saturday from 12-3 p.m. and brunch on Sundays from 12-3 p.m. Dinner will be served every night from 5-10 p.m., except on Sundays when dinner starts at 6 p.m. A light snack menu is served on the deck Monday-Thursday from 3-5 p.m. with items such as raw bar selections, tuna tataki, caesar salad and charcoal-grilled black angus burger. Michaels' at Maidstone Beach in East Hampton is now open seven nights for the summer season. Dinner is served from 5-10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Harbor Bistro in East Hampton now offers a three-course Before the Sunset prix fixe menu for $29 every night from 5-6:30 p.m. The special will also be available all night, every night at the bar. Menu items include: goat cheese crouton salad; duck confit and mushroom crepe; seafood penne pasta; pistachio crusted tilapia; fines herbs salmon; roasted free range 1/2 chicken; pork tenderloin; and crispy banana spring rolls. Almond in Bridgehampton has added some new items to their menu. They include: white bean hummus; rabbit and sweetbreads terrine; shank of lamb with grilled asparagus, roasted fingerling potatoes and gremolata; stuffed breast of veal with baby carrots, hard cut pasta and truffle oil; and rosemary skewered shrimp with sweet pea orzo "risotto," crispy leeks and pancetta.
