Matto, in East Hampton, has announced a new schedule for June. Dinner service will be seven nights beginning at 5 p.m. Lunch will be served on the weekends beginning at noon. The three-course $24.95 prix fixe will be offered Sunday through Thursday all night and from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Matto is the only Hamptons restaurant to be awarded one of the highest hospitality awards in the world, the Five Star Diamond Award from The American Academy of Hospitality Sciences. Citarella, New York's premiere fine food market, is now open in Bridgehampton on Montauk Highway at the site of the former I.G.A. This is the third Citarella in an easy-to-reach Hamptons location on well-traveled Route 27. The store features a full selection of seafood, with more than 80 different varieties of fresh ocean catches, a full butcher shop featuring fresh prime cuts, signature rotisserie chickens, pastries, fresh pastas, caviar, paté, truffles and prepared foods, soups, stocks and sauces, and fresh produce from local Long Island farms. Harbor Bistro, in East Hampton, offers complimentary bar appetizers every night from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Items change daily. Sample items may include croque monsieur, crispy risotto poppers, goat cheese croutons and lump crab bites. Signature cocktails that pair well with the appetizers are also served. Harbor Bistro's $19 Chef's three-course prix fixe and $29 "Before the Sunset" prix fixe with choice of three courses or two courses and wine is also be offered. Turtle Crossing, in East Hampton, is now offering a new small plates menu. Selections include: crab-avocado tostada salad with jumbo lump crab meat and avocado ($18); sliced skirt steak salad over arugula salad with pear tomatoes, cucumbers and gorgonzola cheese ($18); Mexican grilled chicken Caesar salad with roasted corn, tortilla strips, Cotija cheese and Caesar dressing ($17); pan roasted chili-lime tilapia with collard greens and black bean sauce $17; Nathan's famous twin chili cheese hot dogs with brisket beef chili, cheddar cheese and onions ($14); and sample plate with quarter barbecue or roasted chicken, one rib and one grilled corn with Cotija cheese and chili powder ($18). Legends Restaurant, in New Suffolk, presents a live music performance featuring Gibraltar Jazz in the pub from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 31. The Long Island-based duet, produces the sound of a sultry female jazz singer backed by a swinging small blues band, while Legends' kitchens serves up signature favorites from its regular menu. The Montauk Yacht Club Resort & Marina presents Thirsty Thursday Turtle Races every Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Barracuda Bar and Turtle Lounge. A live MC will take spectators to the race where they can bet on their favorite turtle for a chance to win prizes ranging from T-shirts to free one-night stays at the resort.
