Alison Opens at the Maidstone Arms Inn

The Maidstone Arms Inn is now home to the Alison Restaurant and The Maidstone Arms Tavern, both open seven days a week. Alison Becker moved her famed Alison Restaurant from Bridgehampton into the Inn, and her fans packed the room for its opening over the holiday weekend. In addition to the restaurant, Becker is offering catering for parties at the Inn or in private homes. She is also working on a new cookbook and in discussions to bring her brand to television.

Becker continues to work with her famed chef Robert Gurvich, who has been the executive chef at Alison since February 1998. Gurvich is a New Orleans native who started his culinary career at the age of 19. Prior to Alison's, he held positions as executive chef at The Rose Garden Inn in Berkeley, California; chef de partie at Restaurant Daniel in New York City; and sous chef at Aqua in San Francisco. As sous chef/lead cook, Gurvich was part of the opening team at Spago's in Las Vegas.
