With so much change over the years out on the North Fork, sometimes, new home owners call in someone to help them decorate, design and furnish their new homes. One such person is Jane Schwartz. Jane has a track record of extraordinary work in the Hamptons, as well as Westchester, New York City and the North Fork.

She recently just finished a project on The Nassau Point estate in Cutchogue situated on eight acres of land with five hundred feet of bay front property.

Jane remodeled the boathouse, the beach house, the guest house and the main house. It took about two years to complete the project on this early 1900s estate. The private owners wanted to keep the home's original charm intact. Yet Jane Schwartz always strives to create a "comfortable internal environment for my clients." This she says is, "very important to me."

Ms. Schwartz considers what she does a special type of art form which at times is very hard work, but in the end, as she says it, "It's very rewarding to see the end product, especially seeing the clients so happy."

Jane has done extensive work with homes in Europe also. She enjoys being able to do the right work so that homes keep their tradition charm yet are renovated to be in tune with the life style of today's successful homeowners with the conveniences they expect. Jane is married to her husband with two grown married children and five wonderful grandchildren.

The work on the Nassau Point estate was challenging in that she and the owners had to plan an effort in concert with the four structures. Each had to have some individuality yet the theme of the distinguished past and charm was not to be excluded or overlooked. Not every project has a beach house, a boat house a guest house and an over 6000 square foot main house, yet Mary handled this challenge as she does all challenges as an opportunity to make something great into something special.

The North Fork is changing and homes are increasing in value as this change occurs.
