Give Your Property A Makeover
-Are you tired of the same old scenery? Are you looking to give your property a facelift? Well, it is possible to increase the value of your home while beautifying your property.
Landscape design and construction are great ways to significantly raise the value of your home, and there are many ways to do this. Retaining walls are a start. They are long lasting blocks as well as natural stonewalls that can add dimension to your property by creating "levels." They can be built to efficiently retain a small or large amount of earth. Also, they come in a variety of colors, textures, shapes and sizes.
Patios also are a great way to raise the value of your home. There are so many high quality pavers on the market that can transform a boring concrete area into a beautifully sculptured pattern, using cobblestone, regular bricks or with one of the hundreds of colors or shapes that brick pavers now come in. From flat to textured varieties, any pattern can be created to suit your taste.
Landscape design is a client favorite. Mother Nature has graced us with thousands of evergreen and deciduous plants, shrubs, trees, annuals and perennials. Installing them in a well-thought out plan will not only make you the envy of your neighbors but will ensure a breathtaking approach to looking out your windows each morning.
Water features are very exciting when it comes to beautifying your property. Waterfalls can be built to cascade peacefully into a (in-ground) pool. Koi Ponds can create a tranquil area to relax that both you and your children will love. With so many shapes of rocks and stones, this can be built to suit your every need.
All these projects can undoubtedly increase all your future home appraisals. Since homeowners do not pay tax on a capital improvement, even New York State is keeping your best interest in mind.
Make sure you take the time to interview your potential contractor. Have the contractor educate you on the scope of work that he or she is proposing. Ask about installation procedures. Contractors have different methods of installation. As long as the method is executed properly, you, the customer, should feel reassured the materials are installed properly. Compare your proposals. Note what each contractor has to offer. Remember, price and quality are very important. If you get a much lower price than the standard competitive rates, then most likely it's too good to be true. Keep in mind that you get what you pay for. Ask your contractor if he or she plans on completing the work himself or if he plans on subcontracting the work. Proper licensing and insurance is essential for all the parties involved. Select your contractor based on these guidelines. You should feel confident you are receiving quality materials and workmanship.
