Breaking News Commuter Connection to Run Through June
The additional LIRR train service that was scheduled to end Memorial Day weekend, will now run through June, but only on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. This comes as a relief to the many school district employees who plan to use the service until the school year ends in late June.
Springs Vandals Arrested and Charged
Two 15-year-old East Hampton residents were arrested for a five-day crime spree through the Hog Creek area in Springs. The boys stole an ATV, moped and other items, damaged property at five homes on Pembroke Avenue and Water Hole Road and spray painted a racial slur on one of the homes.
The teens were charged with juvenile delinquency with five counts of burglary in the third degree, two counts of burglary in the second degree, three counts of criminal mischief in the second degree, two counts of criminal mischief in the third degree and grand larceny in the third degree, along with criminal trespassing, graffiti and petit larceny.
