East Hampton Point, in East Hampton, which offers a sunset view from any table, is now open for the season. Beginning Friday, April 17, a $29 three-course dinner prix fixe will be offered at 5:30 p.m. Sunday brunch, available from noon until 3 p.m., features a $25 buffet with unlimited Bloody Marys and Mimosas. At a normally quiet time of the year, Hamptons Restaurant Week helped jumpstart the summer season. The promotion included 69 restaurants offering their own three-course $24.95 prix fixe. Many restaurants decided to extend their menus including: Café Max, The Laundry and Matto Restaurant in East Hampton, MUSE Restaurant & Aquatic Lounge and Trata East in Water Mill; Westhampton Steakhouse in Westhampton; DoLittle's and Porto Bello in Mattituck; Boulder Creek Steakhouse in Riverhead, Michael Anthony's Food Bar in Wading River. Stonewalls Restaurant, in Riverhead, will host a four-course dinner featuring Pacific Rim wine selections from New Zealand and Australia on Friday, May 1. Hors d'oeuvres will be served in the Grill Room paired with 2008 Hesketh Riesling "Scissor Hands" from Australia beginning at 6:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 7 p.m. Cost is $75 plus tax and gratuity. The menu is as follows: warm Long Island oysters champagne with 2008 Momo Sauvignon Blanc, New Zealand; Long Island Crescent Farm duck breast au poivre, morrels risotto with 2006 Momo Pinot Noir, New Zealand; tournedos rossini, beef filet, foie gras and truffles sauce with 2005 Hesketh Shiraz "The Protagonist," Australia; and warm crepe filled with pear in port wine with 2006 Lillyphilly Estate White Port, Australia. Oasis Waterfront Restaurant, in Sag Harbor, serves dinner Thursday through Sunday, beginning at 5:30 p.m. with a $30 prix fixe Thursday, Friday and Sunday all-night and Saturday until 6:30 p.m. Spring dishes include: mini tuna tartare tacos, mango and red onion salsa and avocado with lime vinaigrette ($16); parmesan crusted swordfish, white bean and braised arugula with tomato/basil reduction ($32); East End bouillabaisse with fresh fish, clams, mussels, shrimp and scallops in a saffron tomato broth ($30); and strawberry rhubarb crisp with cinnamon gelato ($9). Townline BBQ, in Sagaponack, now offers new happy hour specials on Thursday, Friday and Monday 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 2 to 7 p.m. The specials, available in the bar room only, include: boat of 24 wings with blue cheese dressing ($6); homemade jalapeno poppers, fried pickled peppers filled with Monterey jack cheese (50-cents/piece); and growler/pitcher of all tap beers ($15). Looking for a half-price meal? Ziggy's Food & Drink, in Bridgehampton, offers half-price dinner Sunday through Thursday as well as half-price lunch Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Items include: Fat Boy Burgers, a juicy half-pounder, topped with shredded lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion and house sauce ($11.95); Big Surf Salads including local Israeli salad, a blend of chopped cucumbers, tomatoes and green peppers ($11.95); and Bob's Kabobs, including beef ($17.95), shrimp ($18.95) and farmstand ($14.95).
