FACULTY/STUDENT BASKETBALL- At 7 p.m. a faculty/student basketball game hosted by Mattituck-Cutchogue Teachers Association at Mattituck High School. Proceeds benefit MCTA scholarship fund.

SATURDAY, APRIL 21

AROUND THE GLOBE IN EIGHT PLAYS- From noon-4 p.m. check out'Around the Globe in Eight Plays' workshop presented by Northeast Stage with direction by Tom Truss at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church parish hall, Greenport. Actors of all ages and levels of experience welcome. Featuring scenes and speeches from Shakespeare's plays, in anticipation of this summer's Shakespeare in the Park production. TRAINER FOR A DAY- What does it take to work with Seals or Seal Lions? Guests can find out at the Trainer for a Day program at Atlantis Marine World in Riverhead. Every Saturday, Kids (10 years and up) and adults join our Marine Mammal staff on a Saturday to go behind-the-scenes at Atlantis Marine World. Part of the more than two-hour session even includes private observation of the California Sea Lion Training and Feeding Session. The experience is capped off with a photo of the "Trainer for a Day" getting a kiss from a Seal. 631-208-9200

RED HOUSE EARTH DAY- From 2-4 p.m. check out Red House Earth Day Celebration hosted by North Fork Audubon Society at Inlet Pond County Park, Greenport. With music by Monica Moyers and Heather Hentze of Totmusic, puppet show by Tom Stock of Up-a-Tree Puppetry, nature crafts for all ages, and optional "trash hike" to clean up park (bring work gloves). EARTH DAY CELEBRATION- Earth Day Celebration from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at Indian Island County Park in Riverhead. This event will provide visitors with a variety of events and hands-on activities to learn about the earth and its ecosystems. Indian Island County Park is located on Route 105 in Riverhead. EARTH DAY CELEBRATION AT ATLANTIS- Atlantis Explorer Tour Boat 11:00 a.m. Our tour boat will launch its ninth season with a special Earth Day beach cleanup. This trip is free and will welcome more than 50 Boy Scouts and 22 Aquarium visitors who are dedicating their time to help cleanup the beach. STREET PAINTING FESTIVAL, MAY 27- 11th Annual Community Mosaic Street Painting Festival, presented by the East End Arts Council, will be held on Sunday, May 27th from 12-5, (rain date May 31). The Community Mosaic is a FREE, day-long celebration of the arts, held on the grounds of the Arts Council, on Main Street, and along the Peconic Riverfront. RELAY FOR LIFE GOLF TOURNAMENT, JUNE 1- The Riverhead Relay for Life will hold its third annual golf tournament on Friday, June 1, at the Rock Hill Golf and Country Club in Manorville, NY. A registration fee of $135.00 per golfer includes a 12:00 p.m. barbecue luncheon, a cart, unlimited range balls, and an open bar and dinner. There will be a 1:30 p.m. shotgun start and there will be trophies, prizes, gifts, raffles, and entertainment. Come and join our tradition of fine golf and great fun. Non golfers are welcome to join us for drinks and dinner at 6:30 p.m. for $50.00 per person. All proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society.
