A star-studded party followed the opening of the drama Irena's Vow at the Walter Kerr Theatre on Broadway last Sunday. This play stars Tovah Feldshuh as Irena Gut Opdyke, a Polish woman who risked her life during the Holocaust, and is related to Dan's Papers writer, Debbie Tuma. At the party at TAO in NYC were: Neil Simon, Kathleen Turner, Elaine Stritch, David Hyde Pierce, Ally Sheedy, Blythe Danner, Joel Grey, Judith Light, Andrea Martin and Charles Busch.

Smithers Foundation for alcoholism treatment, is elated that the film Stella won an award at the Venice Film Festival for advancing the message of hope and recovery for alcoholics. The film was shown for the first time in the U.S. at the Walter Reade Theater.
