Time for Deals During Restaurant Week

Almond is one of the many local restaurants participating in Hamptons Restaurant Week, March 29 through April 5.

Hamptons Restaurant Week is here - finally! It's that time of year for foodies and East Enders to rejoice. The Seventh Annual "Hamptons Restaurant Week" kicks off on Sunday, March 29 and ends Sunday, April 5. This year marks the first year of the $24.95 price point. Yes, the economy is bad and our wallets are suffering, but our local restaurants need to survive too. Compared to other restaurant weeks, like New York City and Boston, where the dinner prix fixe ranges from $26 to $44, Hamptons Restaurant Week is and remains to be quite the bargain. And it includes lodging discounts!

During this eight-day promotion, participating restaurants will offer a three-course prix fixe for $24.95 all night, except Saturday, when it will only be offered until 7 p.m.

South Fork restaurants include: Almond, Bobby Van's and Pierre's in Bridgehampton; Bamboo, Café Max, Fresno, The Laundry, The Lodge Bar & Grill, Matto, Michaels' at Maidstone, Nick & Toni's and Rowdy Hall in East Hampton; New Moon Café and Stone Creek Inn in East Quogue; Trumpets in Eastport; Edgewater, Indian Cove, Inn Spot on the Bay, Tom McBrien's and Villa Paul in Hampton Bays; Gulf Coast Kitchen at Montauk Yacht Club, Harvest on Fort Pond and Sea Grille at Gurney's in Montauk; Oasis in Sag Harbor; Chequit Inn and Vine Street Café in Shelter Island; 75 Main, Barrister's, Le Chef, OSO, The Plaza Café, red/bar Brasserie, Shippy's and Wildthyme in Southampton; Olde Speonk Inn in Speonk; Mirko's and MUSE in Water Mill; Casa Basso in Westhampton; and The Patio at 54 Main and Tierra Mar in Westhampton Beach.

North Fork restaurants include: Meeting House Creek Inn in Aquebogue; Cooperage Inn in Baiting Hollow; Scrimshaw and Soundview in Greenport; Jamesport Manor Inn in Jamesport; a Mano, A Touch of Venice, DoLittle's and Porto Bello in Mattituck; Legends in New Suffolk; Boulder Creek Steakhouse, Digger O'dell's and Stonewalls in Riverhead; Bayview Inn & Restaurant in South Jamesport; North Fork Table & Inn, Pepi's and Seafood Barge in Southold; and Blackwells, Desmond's Restaurant, La Plage and Michael Anthony's Food Bar in Wading River.

Select restaurants will offer bottles of Long Island wine from Pellegrini and Wolffer Estate for $24.95. Why not schedule a wine tasting trip out east during the week? Wolffer Estate welcomes restaurant week-goers by offering a 20% discount in the tasting room on purchases of select bottles during the week.

Looking for a place to rest your head? Lodging properties will offer the following discounts during the week: Stay four nights, pay for two nights in the same room at Montauk Manor; 10% discount at The Baker House 1650 in East Hampton; and $25 off one night or $50 off per night for room reservations and $50 off one night or $100 off per night for suite reservations at Mill House Inn in East Hampton. Customers must mention the promotion when making reservations to reap the benefits.

Local restaurateurs have embraced the event. Nick & Toni's offers its menu all night Saturday as well as Legends, which will serve it during lunch, and Dockers, which offers the prix fixe early Friday, March 27. Some restaurants will continue their special menus on select nights after April 5, including Café Max, Matto, MUSE and Westhampton Steakhouse.
